I really enjoyed the meeting yesterday, a little chaotic because: What do we talk about? What do we do? I think a couple more meetings will help iron that out. Here's a pic thanks to Marty, zoom clicky thing thanks to http://highslide.com
Scott, Andy, Sue, Ilhami, Matt, Nate, Ben, Ryan, Lynn, Marty and John in the middle.
I think a couple of things are certain, none of us have all the answers, and all of us want to learn.
For the next meeting I would like ideas for starting an agenda, here is a sample start:
- Round table, introductions of new members, crazy stories since last meeting (15mins)
- Talk about blogs and new app releases, present, display and play for a bit. (15mins)
- Make requests for testing or help on a specific item or skill. The group can decide if it's something everyone would like to learn or participate in or if it's something that can be one on one with the guru of your choice or if someone wants to test. Lets discuss on limiting topics/individual guru time from 15mins-1hr. I think it will depend on the patience of the guru or how buggy the application is. (15mins for requests and assignment)
- Solo/Floating/Whatever time... 1-n hours. We're all there programming and learning on our own however we have the awesome resource of spontaneous questions and submission of web links with answers to questions to the "Member Submitted Links" section of the website. This will serve as a great resource for new members and others on the web.... plus, we talk about a lot of cool things at meetings... what was that link again?
- The last two each get a "duration" point, or 2 duration points are split amongst the members who all conclude the meeting at once. (Meeting is over when there is only one left)
Bullet items for e-mail or next meeting
- I have been doing some thinking about legal issues regarding talking about and possibly testing with the new SDK. The solution is this, we will define a charter for our organization and get a developer account.
- iphone.mn is on it's way to being a user diversified blogging tool. I need to set up the menu items manually for now, so if you would like to blog this is the requirement: Attend at least one iphone.mn meeting and tell me.

. I will set you as an author, you have the option of having your blog on the front page or not. Right now you need to select the Section/Category ie: Members/John
- I need to know how comfortable everyone is with having their full name/photo listed in tweets, blog names, etc. I think aliases are good, but I forsee multiple "Matt's" and "John's"
- Is godaddy shared hosting tolerable, does it matter? Not much snap to the site.
- Location location location
Ok, here is the final word in this blog, although I never thought I would have a blog...ever, it's kind of weird typing to an unknown audience.
I talked about creating a custom URL launcher in the Info.plist at the meeting, here is a link to a article on how to do that and I'm putting it in the weblinks right now.
